Custom Knife Description

Loveless Delaware Maid Fighter Pictured here is one of the most "important" knives ever made. This is the FIRST sub-hilt Fighter ever made by Robert W. Loveless. It was completed in 1954 and sold with the first order to Abercrombie and Fitch of New York City. John.Denton describes the knife as the best Delaware Maid Kniuves in private hands bar none. It is very clean for a 55 year old blade, but as Steve Johnson declared, it appears to have never been buffed and the engraving of "Delaware Maid" and Abercrombie and Fitch are deep and crisp. Shown on page 17 of the Loveless Book "Logos of the Legend" this knife is described as one of the first fighters made. On page 16 the Sub-Hilt numbered 26 is described as maybe the first one made. According to John Denton, this is an error, because the knife shown here is numbered nine. Based on the number nine it's known to be the first fighter in the initial order of the first 24 knives that started Loveless' career.
